The successful applicant will have a proven track record in analysing and coordinating all aspects of the supply chain process, as well as the financial aptitude to guide sound budgetary and strategic decision-making for cost-reduction, risk mitigation and process optimisation.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong><u>Desired Qualifications and Skills<\/u><\/strong><\/p><ul><li>A CIMA qualification or BCom Hons Degree in Finance or Supply Chain Management.<\/li><li>Have at least 4-5 years\u2019 experience in a commercial supply chain role and at least 3 years in a management role.<\/li><li>Proficient with SAP is advantageous.<\/li><li>Strong\/proven negotiation skills.<\/li><li>Strong planning and organizing skills.<\/li><li>An ability to influence others.<\/li><li>Be a problem solver.<\/li><li>Be enthusiastic, positive, and self-energized.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities include:<\/u><\/strong><\/p><p>Supply Chain Planning &amp; Strategy<\/p><ul><li>Management of working capital investment in stock to company parameters, including slow moving and dead stock.<\/li><li>Finished goods planning for divisions with the relevant people ensuring no stock outs and short supplies.<\/li><li>Efficient raw material inventory management ensuring the right amount is available at the right time to reduce working capital impact.<\/li><li>Drive Just-in-time principles and continuous improvements to eliminate waste and streamline processes.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Procurement and Vendor Management<\/p><ul><li>Supplier Assessments \u2013 Ensuring quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.<\/li><li>Supplier Contract Management \u2013 Negotiation of contracts, Service Level Agreements, MOU\u2019s, Leases<\/li><li>Drive organisational cost and savings projects across the supply chain.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Risk Management &amp; Mitigation<\/p><ul><li>Identify, manage, and mitigate risks in the purchasing and production planning departments.<\/li><li>Diversify suppliers where practical to reduce dependency on a single source.<\/li><li>Contingency planning to ensure alternative strategies in case of unexpected event.<\/li><li>Monitoring the adherence to ISO 9001\/FSSC22000 supply chain procedures across the group and amongst suppliers where relevant<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Data Analysis<\/p><ul><li>Identify patterns and trends to optimize processes to improve overall efficiency.<\/li><li>Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, such as inventory turnover, supplier on-time delivery and lead times, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.<\/li><li>Analyze market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies in supply chain management, staying updated on best practices and innovations to drive continuous improvement.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Leadership &amp; Training<\/p><ul><li>Lead cross-functional teams and projects, driving process improvements, system implementations, and change management initiatives to enhance capabilities and
