Our client, an internationally recognised world-class manufacturer, has an opportunity for a robust, high-energy and meticulous Production Planner to join their KZN production Team. Advanced Microsoft Office and proven experience managing 300 or more SKU’s in a continuous manufacturing environment are essential.

Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain or Related).
• Matric Mathematics
• Minimum of 3-5 Years of Continuous Manufacturing Experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office Proficiency (Intermediate to Advanced Excel)
• Experience Managing 300+ SKU’s
• Working knowledge of SAP (Advantageous)
• Ability to thrive in a robust, fast-paced continuous manufacturing environment

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Issue weekly production schedules for production requirements
• Ensuring there is sufficient finished goods stock to fulfill orders, and reorder levels are maintained
• Manage Slow and Dead stock levels within parameters
• Coordinate intercompany sales and purchasing
• Advising raw materials of any exceptions that may be necessary for new products or changes of products
• Liaise with Stores & Distribution regarding service efficiencies
• Place orders with direct suppliers and manage stock levels accordingly
• Advising on any machine (capacity) requirements for future
• Long-term planning of production capacity in the plant.
• Assisting with utilization budget process
